Refer to Exterior Trim Emblem Removal Caution .

Preliminary Procedure Open and support the hood assembly.
1 Hood Front Molding

Procedure

  1. Ensure the hood outer panel paint is protected at the edge of the hood molding with the use of masking tape.
  2. Gently pry upward on one corner of the hood front molding releasing the two outer retainer clips first, followed by the remaining seven retainer clips across the molding.
  3. Remove the masking tape from the outer hood panel.
