Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Drain the engine oil and remove the oil filter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LF1)  or Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement (LAU) .
  3. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side (LF1) .
  4. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) compressor bolts and reposition. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LF1) or Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (LAU) .
  5. Remove the front cover. Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement .
  6. Remove the oil pan to transmission bolts.

  8. Remove the oil pan bolts.
  9. Remove the oil pan.
  10. Clean the oil pan and the engine block gasket surface. Refer to Oil Pan Cleaning and Inspection .
