Power Steering Gear Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement (LF1 LHD)

Preliminary Procedure Remove the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement . Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Place drain pans under the vehicle. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir as possible.
1	Power Steering Gear Inlet Hose Fastener (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	Power Steering Gear inlet Hose Procedure Install NEW power steering gear inlet hose seals. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding . Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle. Tighten: 34 N.m (25 lb ft)

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)

Power Steering Gear inlet Hose

Procedure

Install NEW power steering gear inlet hose seals.
Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
Clean any excess power steering fluid from the vehicle.

Tighten: 34 N.m (25 lb ft)
