Preliminary Procedures Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Cover Replacement . Remove the shift knob. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement (Acadia) or Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement (Enclave) or Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement (OUTLOOK) or Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement (Traverse) .
1	Automatic Transmission Shift Control Indicator Lamp Tip: Rotate the lamp socket one eighth turn counterclockwise to remove or clockwise to install.
2	Automatic Transmission Tap Up/Tap Down Switch Electrical Harness Connector Tip: Slide the harness connector forward off of the retainer.
3	Automatic Transmission Shift Control Indicator Tip: Release the front two shift indicator retaining tabs then lift and remove the indicator from the rear two retaining tabs.
