Transmission Mount Replacement - Left Side

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  2. Remove the left engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement .
  3. Support the transmission with a transmission jack.
1 Transmission Mount Nut
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten:  60 N.m (44 lb ft)


Tip:  The transmission mount nuts must be replaced once removed. When the nut has to be loosened or removed, threadlocker must be used in addition to using a new nut. Allow adhesive on new transmission mount nuts to cure for 24 hours after replacement.
2 Transmission Mount Nut

Tighten:  75 N.m (55 lb ft)


Tip:  The transmission mount nuts must be replaced once removed. When the nut has to be loosened or removed, threadlocker must be used in addition to using a new nut. Allow adhesive on new transmission mount nuts to cure for 24 hours after replacement.
3 Transmission Mount
Procedure: 
Using the transmission jack, lift the transmission just enough to gain clearance to remove the transmission mount from between the frame bracket and transmission mount bracket.
