Preliminary Procedures Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Cover Replacement . Remove the shift knob. Refer to Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement (Acadia) or Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement (Enclave) or Transmission Control Lever Knob Replacement (Outlook) .
1	Automatic Transmission Shift Control Indicator Lamp Tip: Rotate the lamp socket one eighth turn counterclockwise to remove or clockwise to install.
2	Automatic Transmission Tap Up/Tap Down Switch Electrical Harness Connector. Tip: Slide the harness connector forward off of the retainer.
3	Automatic Transmission Shift Control Indicator Tip: Release the front two shift indicator retaining tabs then lift and remove the indicator from the rear two retaining tabs.
