Front Differential Drive Pinion Gear Bearing Cup and Lubricant Dam Replacement: Removal

Removal

Callout Component Name
1 Front Differential Drive Pinion Gear Bearing Cup
NOTE: Failure to apply the lubricant will cause damage to the bolt and nut threads.

Tip: 
  • Tighten J-45094  until it fits snugly on the bearing cup. See Special Tools .
  • Adjust J 45124  so it sits on the case surface just beyond the bearing cup opening. See Special Tools .
  • Apply the extreme pressure lubricant J 23444-A  to the puller bolt threads to prevent damage to the bolt threads during bearing cup removal. See Special Tools .
  • Hold the puller bridge nut and turn the bolt to remove the bearing cup.
