Manual Shift Shaft Removal

- Remove the manual shift shaft pin (709).
- Remove the manual shift shaft detent lever nut (712).
- Remove the manual shift shaft (708).
- Remove the manual shift shaft seal (707).
- Inspect the manual shift shaft for the following conditions:
- Damaged flats or threads
- Burrs
- Wear
- Inspect the manual shift shaft pin (709) for tightness.
NOTE:
Use a piece of wood or other protective material when you remove the manual shaft pin, to prevent damage to the case.
