Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
IMPORTANT: Clean all the evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible fuel/EVAP system contamination.
  1. Remove the EVAP canister. Refer to Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement (Pickup) or Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement (1500 Crew Cab) or Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Replacement (Cab/Chassis) .

  2. Remove the EVAP canister line (1). Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  3. Remove the EVAP canister purge line (2). Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  4. Cap the fuel and EVAP lines in order to prevent possible fuel/EVAP system contamination.
