Installation Procedure

Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent to the treads of the oil drain and fill plugs.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the oil drain plug.
Tighten: Tighten the plug to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
Fill the transmission to just below the bottom of the fill plug hole. Refer to Lubrication Specifications .

Install the oil fill plug.
Tighten: Tighten the plug to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).
Lower the vehicle.
