Removal Procedure

Raise and suitably support vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking Vehicle in General Information.
Using J 36511 remove oil fill plug. See Special Tools .

Place a suitable drain pan under transmission in order to catch drained transmission fluid.
Using J 36511 remove oil drain plug. See Special Tools .

Remove any old sealant from transmission housing.
