Installation Procedure

Apply sealant GM P/N 12346004 (Canadian P/N 10953480), or equivalent to oil drain and fill plug threads.

Using J 36511 install oil drain plug. See Special Tools .
Tighten: Tighten plug to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
Remove and drain pan used to catch used transmission fluid.
Fill transmission to just below bottom of fill plug hole. Refer to Lubrication Specifications .

Using J 36511 install oil fill plug. See Special Tools .

Tighten: Tighten plug to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
Lower vehicle.
