Scan Tool Data Definitions

The Transmission Scan Tool Data Definitions contain a brief description of manual transmission related parameters available on scan tool. list is in alphabetical order. A given parameter may appear in any one of data lists. In some cases, parameter may appear more than once or in more than one data list in order to group certain related parameters together.

Clutch Pedal Switch: This parameter displays state of clutch pedal switch circuit input. scan tool will display APPLIED when clutch pedal is depressed, and RELEASED when clutch pedal is released.

Vehicle Speed Sensor: This parameter displays speed at which vehicle is traveling. scan tool displays vehicle speed as kilometers per hour (km/h), miles per hour (mph). vehicle speed is calculated based on input signal from vehicle speed sensor.
