Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Obtain a new SS 2 (1), SS 3 (4), TCC PCS (7), or modulated main pressure solenoid. Install O-rings (2 and 3) and lubricate with clean transmission fluid. Push the new solenoid into the control valve assembly (5) with the wiring harness connector in the correct position.

  2. Install the solenoid retainer (6). Connect the internal wiring harness to the solenoids replaced.
  3. For a new TCC PCS (7), install O-rings and lubricate with clean transmission fluid. Push the new TCC PCS (7) into the control valve assembly with the wiring harness connector in the correct position.
  4. Install the TCC PCS retainer and bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (108 lb in).

  6. For a new SS 1 (5), install O-rings (3 and 4) and lubricate with clean transmission fluid. Push the new SS 1 (5) into the control valve assembly with the wiring harness connector in the correct position. Install the solenoid retainer (2).
  7. Install the oil pan and transmission internal oil filter. Refer to Oil Pan Replacement .
