Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Remove the front grille. Refer to Grille Replacement (GMC) or Grille Replacement (Chevrolet) in Exterior Trim.
  2. Disconnect the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler lines from the auxiliary oil cooler. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting .

  3. Disconnect the transmission fluid cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting .

  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  5. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement in Frame and Underbody.
  6. Disconnect the oil cooler lines from the transmission. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Line Quick Connect Fitting .

  7. Remove the oil cooler lines from the vehicle.
