Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Auxiliary Battery) in Engine Electrical.
  2. Remove the right wheelhouse panel. Refer to Wheelhouse Panel Replacement in Body Front End.
  3. Remove the glow plug harness nut(s).
  4. Remove the harness from the glow plug(s).

    5. IMPORTANT: If a glow plug is replaced and the tip is missing or burned off, the cylinder head must be removed and all debris must be cleaned out of the cylinder.
  5. Remove the glow plug(s).
