Preliminary Procedure: Remove the endgate cable from the body side of the vehicle. Refer to Endgate Cable Replacement .
1	Pickup Box Endgate Tip: Use a partner to help support the pickup box endgate and hold at a forty-five degree angle while pulling to disengage from the body side endgate lower hinge.
