Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering column seal (1) to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the 3 steering column seal nuts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  3. Connect the steering shaft coupling to the upper intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement .
