Thermostat Bypass Pipe Replacement Diesel

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling 
  2. Remove the fan pulley. Refer to Cooling Fan Pulley Replacement 
  3. Remove Thermostat Bypass Pipe Bolts. 21 N.m (16 lb ft)
  4. Thermostat Bypass Pipe to Turbocharger Outlet Cooler Pipe Clamp. Procedure Reposition the thermostat bypass pipe to turbocharger outlet cooler pipe clamp using the BO-38185 Hose Clamp Pliers. Replace hose clamp if necessary.
  5. Thermostat Bypass Pipe Tip: Install new O-ring seals. Lubricate using clean engine coolant.
