Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the inner axle shaft and housing assembly. Refer to Front Drive Axle Inner Shaft and Inner Shaft Housing Replacement (8.25 F4WD Axle)  or Front Drive Axle Inner Shaft and Inner Shaft Housing Replacement (8.25 S4WD and 9.25 Axles) .
  2. Remove the clutch shaft from the differential carrier assembly.

  3. Remove the clutch shaft pilot bearing using the J 34011  . See Special Tools .
