Circuit/System Verification

- Verify that DTCs P0698 or P0699 are not set.
- If any of the DTCs are set, refer to DTC P0698 or P0699 .
- Engine running, observe the scan tool TC Vane Position Sensor and the Desired Vane Position parameters while slowly increasing the engine speed to 2,500 RPM, then returning the engine speed to idle. The TC Vane Position Sensor parameter should remain near or equal to the Desired Vane Position parameter.
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
