WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 GMC Sierra, 2007 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2007 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Verify that P0562 is not set as current or history before performing this diagnostic. If P0562 is set as current or history, go to DTC P0562 .
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector of the FPCM.
  2. Ignition ON, test for 11 volts or greater between the IGN II/III voltage circuit terminal 15 and ground.
    • If less than the specified voltage, test the IGN II/III voltage circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit test normal and the ECM - IGN fuse 58 is open, test the voltage circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the RUN/CRANK relay.
  3. If all circuits test normal, replace the FPCM.
