Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 GMC Sierra and 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: All gasket surfaces should be free of oil or other foreign material during assembly.

  1. Place the service gasket (1) onto the valve lifter oil manifold.

  3. Install the valve lifter oil manifold (1) to the engine.
  4. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  5. Install the valve lifter oil manifold bolts (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  7. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (1) to the oil pressure sensor.
  8. Install the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement (L92 - First Design)  or Intake Manifold Replacement (L92 - Second Design)  or Intake Manifold Replacement (LY2 and LY6)  or Intake Manifold Replacement (LH6, LMG, LY5 and L76) .
