Removal Procedure

Remove the engine coolant fan upper shroud, if equipped. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (Mechanical) or Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (Automatic Transmission - Diesel) .
Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to one of the following:
- For 4.3L engine, refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
- For 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L engines, refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory .

Use remover J 25034-C to remove the power steering pump pulley. See Special Tools .
