Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the radiator grille. Refer to Radiator Grille Replacement (GMC) or Radiator Grille Replacement (Chevrolet) .
  2. Remove as much power steering fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.
  3. Place drain pans under the vehicle as needed.

  5. Disconnect the power steering gear outlet hose (2) from the power steering fluid cooler (4).
  6. Disconnect the power steering fluid cooler hose (3) from the power steering pump (1).

  8. Remove the power steering fluid cooler bolts (2) from the power steering fluid cooler (1).
  9. Remove the power steering fluid cooler from the vehicle.
