CAUTION: Refer to Brake Dust Caution . Preliminary Procedures Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle . Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
1	Brake Drum Retainer (Qty: 2)
2	Brake Drum Procedure If the brake drum will not slide over the brake shoes, retract the brake shoe adjuster. Refer to Drum Brake Adjustment . Using the J 42450-A , clean the drum mating surface of the rear axle flange. Adjust the drum brakes. Refer to Drum Brake Adjustment . Special Tools: J 42450-A Wheel Hub Resurfacing Kit

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

Brake Drum Retainer (Qty: 2)

Procedure

If the brake drum will not slide over the brake shoes, retract the brake shoe adjuster. Refer to Drum Brake Adjustment .
Using the J 42450-A , clean the drum mating surface of the rear axle flange.
Adjust the drum brakes. Refer to Drum Brake Adjustment .
