Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  1. Install the auxiliary battery relay and nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  3. Install the auxiliary battery positive cable to the auxiliary battery relay.
  4. Install the auxiliary battery positive cable nut (4) to the battery relay stud.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  5. Position the auxiliary battery positive cable boot (5) to the auxiliary battery relay stud.
  6. Connect the auxiliary battery positive cable electrical connector (1) to the battery relay.

  8. Install the auxiliary battery positive cable to the auxiliary battery relay.
  9. Install the auxiliary battery positive cable nut (6) to the battery relay stud.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  10. Position the auxiliary battery positive cable boot (5) to the auxiliary battery relay stud.
  11. Connect the auxiliary battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Auxiliary Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (w/Dual Batteries) .
