Circuit/System Testing

- Engine ON, transmission in park, vary the engine speed by 500 RPM.
- Verify the scan tool Engine Oil Pressure Sensor parameter changes by more than 34.5 kPa (5 psi).
- If less than 34.5 kPa (5 psi), refer to the following:
- Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing for the 4.3L engine
- Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing for the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L engines
- Oil Pressure Diagnosis and Testing for the 6.6L engine
- If less than 34.5 kPa (5 psi), refer to the following:
- If the pressure tests normal, replace the EOP sensor.
