Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the DIC switch assembly.
  2. Verify all of the scan tool DIC Switch parameters are Inactive.
    • If not Inactive, test both signal circuits of the DIC switch assembly for a short to ground. If the circuits test normal, replace the IPC.
  3. Ignition ON, install a 3-amp fused jumper wire between both signal circuits and ground. Verify all of the scan tool DIC Switch parameters are Active.
    • If not Active, test both signal circuits of the DIC switch assembly for a short to voltage. If the circuits test normal, replace the IPC.
  4. If all circuits test normal, test or replace the DIC switch assembly.
