Installation Procedure

- Connect the left park brake cable eye (1) to the park brake actuator lever (2).
- Install the park brake cable to the rear axle bracket by pulling the cable conduit (3) rearward to compress the spring and inserting the cable conduit into the rear axle bracket.
Ensure the locking tabs on the cable conduit are fully engaged into the rear axle bracket.
- Install the park brake cable clip bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
- Insert the park brake cable conduit (2) into the equalizer (3).
Ensure the locking tabs on the cable conduit are fully engaged into the equalizer.
- Connect the left rear park brake cable to the intermediate cable connector (1).
- Enable the park brake cable automatic adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling .
- Adjust the park brake. Refer to Park Brake Adjustment (Disc Brake) or Park Brake Adjustment (Drum Brake) .
