Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the cooling fan and shroud. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement .
  2. Remove the radiator outlet hose for the 4.3L engine, or the 4.8L, 5.3L and 6.0L engines. Refer to Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement .
  3. Disconnect the engine oil cooler lines from the radiator, if necessary. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting .
  4. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator, if necessary. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  5. Remove the radiator bolts.
  6. Remove the radiator.
