Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Savana Special, 2003 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2003 GMC Savana, 2003 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, and 2003 Chevrolet Cutaway.   1. Install the right side rear door outside door handle and license pocket assembly to the right rear door.
  2. Install the anti-theft shield between the right side rear door outside door handle and license pocket and the right rear door.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the nuts that retain the right side rear door outside door handle and license pocket assembly.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the right side rear door outside door handle and license pocket assembly retaining nuts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  4. Install the lock rods to the lock.
  5. Install the right side rear door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR - 60/40 RIGHT (E24, 40 DOOR) or TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - SIDE REAR DOOR - 60/40 RIGHT (E24, 60 DOOR) .
