Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Savana Special, 2003 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2003 GMC Savana, 2003 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, and 2003 Chevrolet Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the right side rear door to the vehicle with an assistant.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the bolts in order to retain the right side rear door upper and the lower door hinges to the body.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the retaining bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the right side rear door rear door speaker, if equipped. Refer to SPEAKER REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR .
  4. Install the right side rear door lock. Refer to LOCK REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR .
  5. Install the right side rear door weatherstrips, if needed. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FRONT AND REAR DOOR LOWER .
  6. Install the right side rear door hinged rear window or stationary window, if needed. Refer to HINGED REAR WINDOW REPLACEMENT or REAR WINDOW REPLACEMENT .
  7. Install the right side rear door wiring harness to the door. Refer to Wiring Harness Replacement - Door .
  8. Install the right side rear door outside handle. Refer to Handle And License Pocket - Rear Door Outside .
  9. Install the right side rear door inside handle. Refer to Handle Replacement - Rear Door Inside .
  10. Install the right side rear door extension. Refer to Extension Panel Replacement - Rear Door .
  11. Install the right side rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Door - Right .
