Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Savana Special, 2003 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2003 GMC Savana, 2003 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, and 2003 Chevrolet Cutaway.   1. Remove the left side rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Door - Left .
  2. Remove the rear door extension. Refer to Extension Panel Replacement - Rear Door .
  3. Remove the left side rear door latches. Refer to Latch Replacement - Lower  and Latch Replacement - Upper  .
  4. Remove the left side rear door latch handle. Refer to Latch Replacement - Lower .
  5. Remove the left side rear door wiring harness from the door. Refer to Wiring Harness Replacement - Door .
  6. Remove the left side rear door hinged rear window or stationary window, if needed. Refer to HINGED REAR WINDOW REPLACEMENT or REAR WINDOW REPLACEMENT .
  7. Remove the left side rear door weatherstrips, if needed. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FRONT AND REAR DOOR LOWER .
  8. Remove the left side rear door rear door speaker, if equipped. Refer to SPEAKER REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR .
  9. Remove the bolts that retain the left side rear door upper and the lower door hinges to the body.
  10. Remove the left side rear door from the vehicle with an assistant.
