Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Savana Special, 2003 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2003 GMC Savana, 2003 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, and 2003 Chevrolet Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the left side rear door to the vehicle with an assistance.
    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  2. Install the bolts in order to retain the left side rear door upper and the lower door hinges to the body.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the retaining bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the left side rear door rear door speaker, if equipped. Refer to SPEAKER REPLACEMENT - REAR DOOR .
  4. Install the left side rear door weatherstrips, if needed. Refer to WEATHERSTRIP REPLACEMENT - FRONT AND REAR DOOR LOWER .
  5. Install the left side rear door hinged rear window or stationary window, if needed. Refer to HINGED REAR WINDOW REPLACEMENT or REAR WINDOW REPLACEMENT .
  6. Install the left side rear door wiring harness to the door. Refer to Wiring Harness Replacement - Door .
  7. Install the left side rear door latch handle. Refer to Latch Replacement - Lower .
  8. Install the left side rear door latches. Refer to Latch Replacement - Lower  and Latch Replacement - Upper  .
  9. Install the rear door extension. Refer to Extension Panel Replacement - Rear Door .
  10. Install the left side rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Door - Left .
