Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Savana Special, 2003 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2003 GMC Savana, 2003 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, and 2003 Chevrolet Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the following parts:
    • The TCC valve spring
    • The TCC valve
    • The valve bore plug

  2. Install the valve bore plug retainer ring (1).
  3. Install the transmission oil pan and oil filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid/Filter Replacement .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Fill the transmission to the proper level with Dexron® III transmission fluid. Refer to Transmission Fluid Checking Procedure .
