Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2003 GMC Savana Special, 2003 GMC Savana Camper Special, 2003 GMC Savana, 2003 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, and 2003 Chevrolet Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the floor rail (2) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the rear floor mat/carpet. Refer to MAT/CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR FLOOR (PASSENGER MODELS) or MAT/CARPET REPLACEMENT - REAR FLOOR (CARGO MODELS) .
  3. Raise the vehicle and support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to LIFTING AND JACKING THE VEHICLE .

  4. Install the rear seat track reinforcements to the seat track studs (12 and 15 Passenger).

  5. Inspect the nuts (3) in order to ensure that the sealer is intact.
  6. If the sealer is not intact, apply a medium bodied sealer to the nuts before installing.

    CAUTION: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  7. Install the nuts to retain the floor rail to the vehicle.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 43 N.m (32 lb ft).

  8. Install the heat shields to the vehicle. Refer to EXHAUST HEAT SHIELD REPLACEMENT - FRAME .
  9. Install the spare tire to the vehicle.
  10. Remove the safety stands.
  11. Lower the vehicle.
  12. Install the rear passenger seats to the vehicle. Refer to Seat Replacement - Rear Bench .
