Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove the outer tie rod stud retaining nut.

  4. Loosen the jam nut (2) on the inner tie rod (1).

  5. Disconnect the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle using J-24319-B  .

  6. Remove the outer tie rod (3) from the inner tie rod (1).
