Axle Shafts: Removal

NOTE: Required Tools: Axle Remover (J-45859).
  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove tire and wheel assembly. Remove the axle shaft nut. Remove the axle shaft retaining bolts. Remove the left axle shaft from the front differential flange.
  2. Remove the right axle shaft from the differential flange. Install the Axle Remover. Using the Axle Remover or equivalent, remove the axle shaft from the steering knuckle.
  3. Remove the left axle shaft from the vehicle. Remove the right axle shaft from the vehicle.
