Circuit/System Testing

- Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the B14A Automatic Transmission Output Shaft Speed Sensor.
- Connect the red lead of J 38522
to the OSS voltage circuit terminal A and the black lead to the OSS signal circuit terminal B.
- Adjust the J 38522 Signal to 8 volts, the Frequency to 120 and the Percent Duty Cycle to 50.
- Ignition ON, verify the Transmission OSS parameter display is 100-400 RPM.
- If the reading is not within the specified range, test the output speed sensor circuits for a short to voltage, open/high resistance, or short to ground. If the circuits test normal, replace the Q8 control solenoid valve assembly.
- If the reading is within the specified range, replace B14A Automatic Transmission Output Shaft Speed Sensor.
