The engine serial number is located on the left side of the block. It is on the front edge of the block.

The main bearing bore grades, build date, and sequence number are found on top of the high pressure pump bore.

(2) Last Digit of Calendar Year
(3) Machining Julian Day
(4) Sequence Number
