Circuit/System Testing

NOTE:
You must perform the Circuit/System Verification before proceeding with Circuit/System Testing.
- Ignition OFF, inspect the crankshaft position sensor for looseness and correct installation.
- If the crankshaft position sensor is loose, inspect the sensor and the O-ring for damage, replace as necessary.
- If any parts are worn or damaged, replace as necessary.
- Inspect the engine for the following conditions:
- Engine oil for debris and contamination
- Crankshaft relcutor wheel for damage
- The timing chain, tensioner, and sprockets for wear or damage
- If debris is found in the engine oil, inspect the internal engine components to determine the cause. Repair or replace any worn or damaged components. Refer to Timing Chain and Sprocket Removal , Crankshaft Balancer Removal , and Crankshaft and Bearing Cleaning and Inspection .
