Vehicle Yaw Sensor with Vehicle Lateral and Longitudinal Accelerometer Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the passenger seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket .
  2. Pull back the carpet to gain access to the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer.
  3. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor/lateral accelerometer electrical connector.
1 Yaw Rate Sensor/Lateral Accelerometer Nut (Qty: 2)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  7 N.m (62 lb in)

2 Yaw Rate Sensor/Lateral Accelerometer

Procedure

  1. After the installation is complete, install a scan tool to the vehicle.
  2. Using the special functions menu on the scan tool, reset the yaw rate sensor.
  3. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
