Removal & Installation

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. For driver SIS, see ZONE 2 under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.. For passenger SIS, see ZONE 6 under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM..
- Remove Connector Assurance Protection (CPA) clip. See Figure. Disconnect SIS electrical connector. Loosen SIS bolts. Remove SIS from door
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten SIS bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system. For passenger SIS, see ZONE 6 under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.. For driver SIS, see ZONE 2 under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM..
