Front Side Door Outside Handle Replacement

Preliminary Procedures Position the door window as needed for service. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (SLT, A95) or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Except YE9 or SLT) . Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement .
1	Front Side Door Lock Rod Retaining Clip Procedure Remove the rubber grommet to access the bolts. Plug in the window switch and raise the window. Release the handle lock rod from the door lock. Release the door handle lock cylinder rod.
2	Front Side Door Outside Handle Lock Rod
3	Front Side Door Outside Handle Bolt (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 6 N.m (53 lb in)
4	Front Side Door Outside Handle Procedure Transfer the handle lock rod to the new handle. In order to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, latch, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral latch clip to outside handle rod. Integral latch clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod. Tip: Inspect the door for proper operation before installing the trim panel.
