Preliminary Procedure: Remove the endgate latch handle bezel. Refer to Pickup Box Endgate Latch Handle Bezel Replacement (Pickup) or Pickup Box Endgate Latch Handle Bezel Replacement (Utility) .
1	Endgate Latch Bolt (Qty: 2) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tip: Use a grease pencil to mark the position of the endgate latch before removing the bolts. Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2	Endgate Latch Procedure Support the pickup box endgate. Release the endgate cable from the endgate cable bolt. Disconnect the latch rod from the latch handle. Remove the endgate latch and transfer the endgate cable.

Endgate Latch Bolt (Qty: 2)

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tip: Use a grease pencil to mark the position of the endgate latch before removing the bolts.

Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

Endgate Latch

Procedure

Support the pickup box endgate.
Release the endgate cable from the endgate cable bolt.
Disconnect the latch rod from the latch handle.
Remove the endgate latch and transfer the endgate cable.
