Installation Procedure

  1. Install the battery.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the battery hold down retainer and bolt and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the front fender rear upper brace and bolts and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  7. Position the starter solenoid cable to the battery.
  8. Install the starter solenoid cable to the positive battery terminal.
  9. Tighten the starter solenoid cable nut (5) to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
  10. Close the starter solenoid cable cover at the positive battery terminal.
  11. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Batteries)  or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery) .
