Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 GMC Sierra, 2010 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2010 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the suction hose to the vehicle using new sealing washers.

  3. Install the suction hose to the accumulator.
  4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  5. Install the NEW suction hose nut to the accumulator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  7. Install the suction hose to the compressor (1).
  8. Install the NEW suction hose mounting bolt (3).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  9. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Non-HP2)  or Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (HP2) .
  10. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A  . See Special Tools .
