Balancing Procedure with Service Compressor Replacement (Flushing Not Required)

- Before installing the compressor, calculate the total amount of oil drained from the compressor and collected by the recovery equipment.
- If the amount drained and recorded is:
- LESS THAN 74 ml (2.5 ounces), leave 74 ml (2.5 ounces) in the replacement compressor. Do not drain the oil from the replacement compressor.
- MORE THAN 74 ml (2.5 ounces), calculate the difference between the amount that was drained and recorded. ADD the calculated difference to the A/C system by filling the A/C compressor or using J 45037: injector along with GE 48997: adapter.
NOTE:
The refrigerant oil in the A/C system must be balanced during compressor replacement.
