Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 GMC Sierra, 2010 GMC Cab & Chassis Sierra, 2010 Chevrolet Silverado, and 2010 Chevrolet Cab & Chassis Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Circuit/System Verification must be performed before performing the Circuit/System Testing.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the B33 coolant level switch.
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the ground circuit terminal B and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Connect a 3 A fused jumper wire between the B33 signal circuit terminal A and the ground circuit terminal B.
- Engine operating, observe the DIC. Verify the low engine coolant level message does not display.
- If the message continues to be displayed, test the signal circuit for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K33 HVAC control module.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the B33 coolant level switch.
